A temple in Fort Collins!

On Saturday we had an exhilarating experience when President Monson announced that Fort Collins, Colorado would be receiving a temple!  Sadly, I had just walked out the door and missed the opportunity of tackling my husband at home while watching.  He called me on my cell phone and really scared me.  He was talking so fast and not-like-himself but when I finally understood I started crying.  We've been hoping for this for a long time.  Our monthly trips to Denver take about 7 or 8 hours and that is a long time for anyone to watch 5 kids that don't belong to them.  We're grateful for the years (literally) of Grandma and Papa Curry watching our babies once per month.  We know how tiring it can be, and yet they willingly do it, month after month after month.  Anyway - we spent Saturday basking in the joy that comes from knowing we will soon have a great blessing just a few miles away.  We'll be able to go to the temple more often, and take our children more often.  I'm so, so, so, so happy!

  2. I, too, thought of you guys the moment the announcement was made (and Randy and Rachel, too, since they live in Meridian, Idaho---the boys think they will build the new temple in the big field in their backyard--cute, eh?). What a blessing for you guys! I am thankful we have two temples within a 4 hour drive, but I'd love for there to be a closer one someday!
