Following Instructions

We're working really hard on teaching our children to follow instructions - the first time.  They're learning the steps and are doing very well.

Yesterday I went to the doctor for an ultrasound.  No.  I'm not pregnant.  I'm just hoping to keep my left ovary.  But that is not what this blog post is about, it's about following instructions.

I walked into the dimly-lit ultrasound room.  As an aside, I think it's very thoughtful of "them" to dimly light the ultrasound room.  You know what I mean?  When you're sitting half-naked on a bed with stirrups it's nice to have some darkness.  Haha.

The tech let me know that I needed to "empty" my bladder but to be sure that I hit the little black button on the wall that locked BOTH doors to the bathroom.  Anxious to get it over with, I opened the unlocked door to the bathroom and there sat Erika (I had heard her name when they called her from the waiting area), and her white hiney, on the pot.

I hate it when people don't follow instructions.  It's so embarrassing to catch someone with their pants down.

  1. HAHA! Too funny (in hindsight, though). Now that I am in the "workforce" I am constantly amazed at the ADULTS who never seem to have learned how to follow instructions. Seriously a lacking skill in many people today!
