Tri #4

I'm getting older, so I was slower this time.  Or maybe it had something to do with the fact that I decided 3 weeks ahead of time to do this?  I don't know, but I do know I want to do better next time, push it a little in the training.  This picture is Jeannie and I at 5 am.  She says I look scared.  Haha.
Warm ups in the lake.  We're excited, feeling good.
Jeannie was out of the water in 15 minutes. Go Jeannie!
I was out a minute later, not feeling so good. I always wonder why I pay money to torture myself?
Jeannie had a rockin' bike ride.  Oh, did I mention this was her first triathlon?  She's awesome.
 I came in at 42 minutes, I think.  Or maybe 44?  I can't remember.
Ouch, something hurts.  Am I too old for this?  Sean says no.  The average age of a triathlete is 38.  I'm almost there.
Jeannie has her hover shoes on, is that legal?  She had a great race.  She was 4th in her age division.  WOW!
This was truly the best part for me.  All the kids lined up to hive me on the home stretch and run into the finish with me, holding my hands.  Heaven on earth.
Jeannie and her medal, after awards.
