Lake to Lake Triathlon

Can you see what the kids are holding?  It spells, "Go Daddy!"  The Hughes kids were there to help cheer Sean on.  He did great - he swam the whole mile, without breast stroking.  :)  That was his main goal, and he accomplished it.
There he is behind the pole (can you see him?).  Haha.  He loved the beauty of the race and plans on "tri-ing" again next year.  I am hoping to join him.
Here he is coming in to the finish, sprinting to beat the other 40-year-old that is behind him.  He had a strong run and finish. What a huge accomplishment - an Oly tri!  I hope to join that club some day.  Sean says, "You could do that July 30th in Cherry Creek."

Right now I am one month away from my half marathon, and two weeks away from the Loveland Sprint Triathlon that I signed up for with Jeannie on a crazy whim.  I am hoping that I can run at least half of the half marathon.  My knee and pelvic injuries act up and I end up stopping to stretch every half mile or so.  I am getting stronger, and I'm hopeful that I will survive.  :)

  1. You guys are such an inspiration! My training has slowed some with school out. I am so impressed that you are doing both! You go girl! And way to go Sean!
