Time

We had another fun week of camping, this time at Bellaire Lake.  More on that later.  We got home yesterday morning and not long after Nicole received an invitation for a playdate with her buddy Sydney.  They wanted to go to the movie, and I went with, quite excited as I never seem to have enough time with my kids on a less than 5:1 basis.  Tickets were purchased and we walked into the theater when Sydney and Nicole turned to me and Nicole said, "Mom, we want to sit by ourselves."  I replied, "You want me to sit all by myself?"  Sydney then said, "That's the plan!"

Oh sad day!  I gave them their semi-freedom and mourned two rows back.  Where does the time go?

  1. Oh Elaine, already? I would have sat with you in the movie. :o) Do you still get to give her kisses in public or is that gone too? Lexy didn't want me to kiss her good-bye the other day at a birthday party. I was hoping it was just a one-time deal, but maybe not. Oh how quickly they grow up. :o(

  2. Melica, Nicole is usually very affectionate. She holds hands with me, she's never rejected a good-bye kiss...:( I think that she really wanted the experience of being alone with a friend at the movies (wayyy exciting, right?) and although it made me sad, I get it. Yes, they grow up quickly!
