We are leaving this morning to go camping! I am going all by myself for the first two nights and 3 days. Okay, not technically. Del and Jeannie and their 3 children will be with me, but I'll be without my fantastic camper husband to help me in the middle of the night. I hope it goes okay. I hope the kids sleep well, and are warm enough. I get really grouchy when I don't sleep. :/ We are going to Lake Dowdy in Red Feather. It's the first time we've been camping since before Cassidy was born. We've been a bit busy with other things like chasing around 3 babies and trying to adjust to the massive life changes we had in such a short period of time. But I think we're ready. We got a big tent, we're only one sleeping bag short (we'll get that eventually...) and it's just time. Cassidy has grown up a lot, and I don't worry quite so much about her running away from me. Xander too. And Nicole and Heidi are growing so fast, if we don't do this now, we'll never make the memories we want to via CAMPING.

ReplyDeleteCamping with young kids is ALWAYS loads of fun! Sleep - not so much.... I hope you guys have a great time. I'm sure that even if the sleep isn't great, the memories (especially for the kids) will be!
