I don't know if I have posted these or not, but if they are on the blog twice, no harm done. :) My kids are gorgeous, right? Check out these hats that Grandma made for them! I love them! They are so much fun! I am making my first hat right now, and it's not too hard. The latest hat is the blue one that Caz is wearing, it's got charms through out. Each hat is unique and my Mom keeps coming up with cute ideas to change them.
See how big the kids are getting? Time flies when you're having fun - true statement. I've never had so much joy and so much stress all at the same time. I can't seem to figure out a balance for my life, but I recognize how wonderful it is to have so many good things to give my time to - the best of all things is teaching my children at home and being a mom to them. The best thing about homeschooling is the education I feel I get along with them. I have wanted to go back to school for years, but it's not the right time for that, so for now, I enjoy learning with my kids.
I am also working on my photography. I am improving, but I still struggle with it. It's frustrating when things don't turn out the way I plan. When people are paying me, I want things to be perfect. It's okay, I am progressing, and that is all that matters (see how I try to talk myself into things?).
We went down to the temple the other day and I caught this shot of the kids in a pyramid. You can't see the temple clearly, but I love it nonetheless. They are such good sports!
Alexander turned 6!! I can't believe it! He's the sweetest little boy in the whole wide world. I love this kid so much. He is such a good, good boy. When I grow up I want to be more like him.
Nicole is almost twelve and is no longer a kid. I realized this when the rest of the gang was out riding bikes and Nicole was holed up in her room doing something else. I couldn't believe that she wasn't outside playing with the rest of the kids, but she is turning a corner and her habits reflect that. She is in a class with our homeschool group called "Key of Liberty". We're studying the American founding, the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. We had Bob Morain come to speak with the kids about the structure of State government. Nicole, the second youngest in the class, had more questions than the rest of the students put together. I am grateful that she has an interest in these things! She has memorized the first part of the Declaration of Independence and has set a goal to memorize the whole thing (minus the 27 grievances) by the end of the semester.
I may have already posted these pictures of Heidi, but did I mention she turned 10? Heidi has been blossoming herself and I'm excited about the progress she's making in school. She is a smart kid who likes to quote movies and books. Her memory astounds me (really!).
This kind of sounded like a Christmas card letter. I think that is what happens when months go by without blogging. I just don't have the time anymore. :( If you're reading this, thanks for stopping by.

excited to see you all next month.
