We went to Mount Rushmore with the Watkins family. They drove West and we spent some time camping and playing in the Black Hills and then they came to Colorado. Sadie and Xander learned how to ride a two wheeler - yay! Time flies when you are raising kids. I'm so thankful for these babies, each one of them is a miracle!
These are all out of order, but I don't have time to rearrange them. We went to bear country while we were there - that was lots of fun, a highlight was the baby bears. Oh MY GOSH! I want one. :) We had a blast on the water slide at our campground - another highlight.
Last, but definitely not least, here is the crazy horse memorial. This was very moving to see, and, honestly, I think this memorial had just as much impact on me as Mount Rushmore did. The white man asks, "Where are your lands now?" and Crazy Horse replied, "My lands are where my dead lie buried."

ReplyDeleteWe took our kids to Mt. Rushmore one year and it was amazing. The water slide looks fun but I felt a twinge of pain since I just crashed on something similar (no water) at our reunion and had to get stitches in my ear (ouch)
