This and That

2013 has been a good year thus far.  I have fallen completely off the blogging wagon and have deactivated FB in an effort to recenter myself.  I love FB, and I love keeping tabs on the people I love, but I also find myself drawn to it too much and I don't feel very balanced right now.  I have not documented my family as well as I do when I blog, so I am going to try to do better over the next couple of months.  We shall see!  These pictures are not in order, sorry. Heidi finally asked me to cut her hair for locks of love.  She is adorable with short hair!  I loved her long hair too, but it was so fun to see her experience this.  She is growing beautifully, wouldn't you say?
Nicole turned 12!  Yes, this was last year, but it was in my 2013 file.  Look at her!  She's beautiful.  Two of her best friends, Kaitlyn and AJ, can be seen in the background.  They came for her birthday and they had lots of fun.
Here is Heidi with her long hair.  :)
Grandma Beth came to visit in March and was here for my birthday, Cassidy's birthday, and my Mom's birthday.  We had a great visit.  We love you, Beth.
This was on Cassidy's birthday also.  Sadie and Caz are good buddies most of the time.
Our house has been on the market for almost a year.  When we listed it for sale we sold some things to clear the clutter and prepare to move.  We didn't realize it would take this long, and it's been a hard, stressful time trying to keep the house clean, but this is one plant we gave away.  Haha.  Poor thing.  I am excited to become a better gardener at our new home with more land.  Yes, we are under contract and have found a new place to live.  It's a quirky, quaint little home on 1 acre.  I am in love with it's weirdness and character.  I will post pictures when we move.  We will have chickens and fruit trees and Aunt Molly will be living with us!!  We are sooooo happy she is coming to Colorado for good.
Jeannie and Del sold their van.  Sadly, we still don't recognize them in their posh new Toyota (is it a toyota??).  This was a random picture in my file.  We also sold our old beater van and got a new (to us) Dodge Caravan.  It's dependable, and that means we can now drive to Minnesota, Utah and other places without worrying about a breakdown.
Knitting has been scarce in the Curry home but Grandma helped us with a fun project.  These are some pictures of our finger knitting day to create our creative hoola hoop wall hanging.  It isn't finished yet, but when it is I will blog about it (I hope).  Maybe someone can remind me.  My mind is lost most of the time.
I really love this picture.  Sadie and Grandma have lots of fun goofing around together and this was one of these moments.  We love you, Mama.
We also got new carpet. Oh how I LOVE new carpet!!  I am happy we got to live with it for 6 months before moving.  It's so fluffy and soft, and I'm certain that it helped us sell our home.  That old white carpet was yuck.

So, how is that for randomness?  Closing is planned for May 21st.  We're praying that all goes well with that.  We have two more weeks of school (homeschool group) and then we will be in full moving mode.  Until next time:  love and prayers.
